About Us

For over 40 years, Brookhaven Gastroenterology Associates has been devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of digestive and liver diseases. All our physicians are board-certified in Gastroenterology and treat a variety of conditions from common abdominal pain, diarrhea, difficulty swallowing, diverticulosis, gas problems, and heartburn to diagnosing rare cancers of the gastrointestinal tract.

Gastroenterology is a specialty dedicated to evaluating the intestines (including the stomach, small and large intestines), liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. With the aid of fiberoptic technology, extensive portions of the intestines can be examined and biopsied. Colonoscopy or lower endoscopy has been an instrumental part of the public health initiative of screening for colon cancer. Over the years we have also adopted the latest technologies including wireless capsule endoscopy, which takes thousands of pictures of the small intestine using a pill like a camera, and Endoscopic Ultrasound that helps better visualize and biopsy lesions throughout the body using special ultrasound guidance.

At BGA, patients can be assured of our commitment to high quality, cost-effective health care in a respectful and compassionate environment. Please schedule an appointment and find out why BGA is the right practice for you.

For those of you new to us, we have selected eClinicalworks as our platform. The patient portal link at the top allows access. To aid in the transition, our old patients may be asked to fill out some paper work to make sure our computer system has the most up to date information on their initial visit since our system has been up and running.
